Our Story

Welcome to AES FlexStaff Solutions! We are a premier staffing agency with a rich history that spans over 45 years in the industry. Our journey began in 1977 when Anne and Robert Bulmer founded our company with a clear vision in mind – to assist Alaska-based businesses with their executive recruitment needs. Hence, we named ourselves Alaska Executive Search, Inc.

Recognizing the evolving requirements of the local market, the Bulmers soon realized the growing demand for a temporary workforce. As executives were successfully placed, clients began reaching out to us for assistance in finding temporary employees to support their ongoing projects. This realization led to an expansion of our services, and AES started offering not only executive recruitment but also temporary and temporary-to-hire staffing solutions.

Alaska is a unique region where people tend to move more frequently compared to the lower 48 states. As a result, local businesses often find themselves in desperate need of seasonal employees. Our ability to address this need quickly and efficiently has allowed us to establish ourselves as a trusted partner for businesses of all sizes.

In 2016, AES underwent a significant change when Paula Bradison acquired the company. Paula, who had a distinguished career in healthcare and had previously founded Bradison Management Group, LLC (BMG), brought a wealth of experience in supporting various industries and optimizing operational efficiencies. Being a fourth-generation Alaskan, Paula deeply understands the challenges and opportunities that come with living and thriving in this unique environment.

Over the years, both AES and BMG worked in close collaboration, supporting talent acquisition and ensuring seamless transitions for our clients. Recognizing the potential for further synergy and growth, the decision was made to merge our expertise and create a new entity called PeopleAK. The foundation of PeopleAK is built on the commitment of AES and BMG employees working together to empower our clients with the tools they need to not only succeed but prosper. Our motto, “Because we are better together,” embodies the spirit of collaboration and the shared dedication to improving Alaska businesses.

Under the PeopleAK umbrella, our services expanded to include direct hire, executive recruitment, and employee engagement and retention. With this restructuring, AES transformed into AES FlexStaff Solutions, solely focusing on providing comprehensive temporary employment solutions to meet the dynamic needs of our clients.
